Because I absolutely love Indian food, you would think I would have tasted this drink a long time ago. I was definitely missing out on greatness! If you like fruity smoothies like I do, this drink is a must try.The turmeric root adds a kick of spice to complement the mango. It’ll have your tastebuds fulfilled from the first sip! We buy our turmeric root from the produce section of nutritional stores next to the ginger root and other root veggies. But if you’re having a hard time getting your hands on some, ground turmeric root, found in the spice section of most grocery stores, can be easily substituted for many of the same benefits. For those of you not familiar with turmeric root’s medicinal benefits, there are several: It’s an awesome anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-depressant, and it also improves brain function, making it the perfect quick get-up-and-go drink before work. Who needs coffee!?
